Summary
The water was a few centimeters above his head when he grabbed a body. He has his eyes open underwater and he's 80% certain that this was a human being. When he grabbed the stranger's hand, the reply he had gotten was not cooperation. The stranger kicked, splashing around the water and not helping their case if they wanted to have some air. Grace groaned, grabbing the stranger's biceps instead, feet kicking to pull themselves up to breathe. His lungs are hurting as he swam away from where they were, somewhere closer to the shore. He pulls the stranger's body upwards, giving them a chance to breathe. Beside him, he could hear a sharp inhale before a cough took over.
"Hold on!", he yelled, looking at the stranger before looking back to the shore, swimming and dragging the stranger along with him.
Grace didn't expect a sudden change just 5 months of living in Erid. It's weird, but he doesn't mind it at all.
OR; Your average bloodymary fic that's mostly just comfort. Maybe sprinkled with angst.

Simon closes his eyes. He breathes out.
