Finally safe after the escape from Carp Tower, and having talked with Lan Xichen, Wei Wuxian realises that Lan Wangji, in his own way, has been telling him how he feels for a long time. Now may be his only chance to do the same. After all, the Jiang motto is 'to attempt the impossible",

And the Jingshi is a place for secrets.and then
2. A post-canon scene set a year or two after the series. LWJ POV.
Wei Wuxian has returned from his travels and settled in at Cloud Recesses. Lan Wangji is no longer so beholden to the Lan rules as everyone likes to believe, and is a little better at using his words. Lazy, familiar married sex, everything is good and nothing hurts.(featuring a lot of talking during sex from WWX, the mouth that broke China)
