Meanwhile the Inner Circle’s alliance with Eris still stands, putting Azriel in a very tricky position when he’s caught breaking through the wards into Eris’s private chambers one evening.

He is confused but determined to test this illogical premise properly. Susan is an empathetic and kind person who has patience with logical Vulcans, who enjoy arguing. Oratt is a bickering and bitter Vulcan who is going to realize that humans aren't as disagreeable as he thought. Where will it lead them?
