Summary
As the oldest daughter, the future responsibilities of leadership fall upon Alice Shield's shoulders, but in place of shining aptitude is a struggle to grasp the basics of her people's magick. Disregarded, she instead wheedles her way into discovering a secret hidden in plain sight, with her family as the center of the coming world order that is beginning to ripple through their land. People she has never met, and things she has never witnessed will be the only lifeline she has to survive the onslaught of betrayal, and she has to hope they hold out long enough to stop those she loves, but cannot support.

If he was being completely honest, Zoro didn’t hate this island and its rather, uh, peculiar theme. Everyone else on the crew seemed to be enjoying themselves, Nami and Robin had taken the luxury of dolling themselves up for their stay. Robin had mentioned something about it being a respectful courtesy here to dress in the appropriate wear of the locals. While Zoro had fussed at the thought of wearing something so restrictive, Sanji seemed to embrace it fully.

Along with that damn bandana still tied around his head, only Wado had been pulled from his mouth and safely returned to her sheath. His two remaining blades still drawn, held up as if ready to strike again.
