Dove had died last year. Andrew had been hallucinating her for that whole time. He was struggling, it was his fault Thomas had gotten hurt. It was honestly pathetic how much his grief consumed him. Andrew knew it was stupid to be so disgusted in himself, his twin sister, only person other than Thomas who understood him, was dead. Grief is how he should react, but all he could see is all the wounds he had dressed for Thomas that he somehow gave him with his own grief.

Jean pats his cheek. “Good dog.”
It was supposed to be a joke. Speak. Lay down. Stay. Jean had been giving commands the entire time, moving Jeremy exactly where he wanted while he figured out how to take them both apart.
Jeremy doesn’t laugh.
Jeremy trembles, irises wide and bright and euphoric. A high-pitched gasp rises from his throat—Jean would call it a cry if he had to put a name to it.
Jean can’t tell if it’s a good or bad noise.
Time seems to pause. A pit forms in his gut.
“Jeremy…” he says slowly. “What was that?”

Summary
Adam is a self-sufficient individual at best, stubbornly isolated at worst. He doesn't really like being touched or sharing space--except, every time he runs into some crisis that involves needing a fucking nap, he seems to end up in Ronan's bed. The strange thing is that his usual senses don't go off when it happens. Trust like this, even Adam knows, is more than friendship.
Ronan is harsh and cold on the outside, but everyone who knows him knows that he is hardwired to take care of the people he loves. So when Adam keeps falling asleep on or near him and his things, he goes with the flow without questions. And if his heart beats a little fast when he feels Adam's breath on his skin, that's no one's business but his own.
Or, 5 times Adam fell asleep on Ronan, and one time he woke up first.
