Summary
After the invasion and the death of the Sandaime, Iruka is left behind in Konoha to pick up the pieces as Naruto leaves for his special training. It's a lonely time, and it's a tough one. Everyone is struggling, from his littlest students to his shinobi friends, and Iruka is no different—the days pass in a haze of work, rebuilding, and comforting those around him.
Then something absurd happens. When an ANBU crawls through the window of Iruka's classroom after hours, half feral and positively begging to fuck him like a hound might beg for food scraps, Iruka surprises himself.
He says yes.

Those words settled inside him like a stagnant echo, a mantra that beat rhythmically against his skull until it silenced his heart. Suddenly, the wool of his sweater weighed on him like armor made of thorns, and the tea lost its warmth. He always sweetened it generously, but that afternoon the sugar seemed to have given up; the flavor was a sour stain that tore a broken smile from him. With a slow nod and the crystalline shimmer of someone who no longer knows how to hold back tears, he let the world become a blur behind his brown eyes.
Iruka Umino enjoyed being an NPC—a background character, a filler role of no importance. He watched other people fall in love; he watched other people be happy. But eventually, being a mere witness came to an end, and it was his turn to take the lead in his own story

"How may I assist you?" Sanji interrupted Zoro's thoughts. The same small smile was placed across Sanji's lips.
"Stop messing around," Zoro says, unnerved. "What'd you do to your hair?"
"My hair?" Sanji asked, head titled in a….. curious way. "It's different now. Yes."
"You dye it?" Zoro asked, leaning closer and taking a breath through his nose. No trace of any chemical smell…
Zoro just then realized he smelled the Cook's hair and promptly jumped back a yard with a grunt.—x—x—x—
Zoro woke up to a stranger inside the kitchen.
