Summary
The man in front of him pulls Jinu forward and whispers into his ear.
“I’ve been dreaming of the day I get one of you in my lab for years. And with a pretty little songbird like you? Just imagine all the fun we can have.” The man leans back, studying Jinu’s face with a look that made him feel like an animal in a zoo.
“Look at those patterns,” he breathes, trailing a thumb under Jinu’s eye and down his cheek. “Beautiful.”
Jinu feels nausea crawl up his throat and tries to jerk out of the hold the hunter has on him, but it’s a little hard to control his movements at the moment and the hand is painfully tight. Panicking, he tries to teleport away, but nothing happens.

AU of KPDH where instead of just Huntrix, there's a whole organization of demon hunters. Demons don't actually die when they're killed, they just get sent back to the underworld. Upon realizing this, the hunters begin to capture demons to experiment with ways to kill them for good. Jinu gets to learn first-hand what this entails.

Summary
Nothing about the small cell of rock and metal is comfortable, but Rumi rests her head against the wall and resists the urge to lay a hand on Jinu’s face. He’s quiet, but not dead. Gwi-Ma can’t kill his leverage, but Rumi doesn’t like the alternative any more.
It’s no surprise that the demon king has a deal for her: break the Honmoon she worked so hard to create, or Jinu suffers. There is no good choice, no winning here. Jinu however, insisted on which she should choose. To hold firm, no matter what he does to him. Said that Gwi-Ma would do so much worse if she gave him a path to the surface.
She knows he’s right. It doesn’t make it any easier.
Rumi doesn’t think she’ll ever get his screams out of her head.
(Or Gwi-Ma wants Rumi to use her power to break the Honmoon. If threat of torture won’t sway her resolve, maybe it will if it’s Jinu. However, no matter what happens, Jinu continuously tells her to be strong and hold out.
Rumi doesn’t know how much longer she can last.)

Summary
Jinu slumped against the wall, nearly motionless. Blood trickled from his battered body, staining the sterile white floor. Rumi turned away to search for a mop in the cabinet; she didn't think she could stand his piercing gaze any longer.
When she began to wipe up the blood, he stopped her with a glance. "What is it?" she asked, trying to keep her tone like that of the cold-hearted torturer and not like a little girl.
He gave her a long, weary look. "Despite what you tell me," he began, in a voice raspy from screaming, "am I really the monster here?"
HUNTR/X doesn't just kill demons. That isn't enough. The girls make sure each and every one of them will never steal another soul again.
But when Rumi grows close with one of their prisoners, she asks herself a question: is she really doing the right thing? And will she ever be able to break free of her old ideas?

Summary
In a world festering with monsters kept restrained by music, HUNTR/X served as the top international idols, performing for the masses and hunting demons until the Honmoon turns golden.
Life starts to collapse around them, however. And when a new perfect band steals their fans’ hearts, HUNTR/X recognized them to be demons immediately. The flash of yellow eyes and purple patterns was all it took,
alongside their starving, paranoid and insomniac states.HUNTR/X did the only thing they could do in the situation; Kill the demons. If only they realized doing so, would stain their hands in red.
(Or HUNTR/X’s descent into madness shown through fragments of Rumi’s life, leading to the murder of the Saja Boys.)
