He heard a ding and saw a phone. He hadn’t seen a phone besides one time when he was meeting with a general from a different district.
It had an orange case on it. Probably was his- wasn’t it?
He picked it up and turned it on.

Mags: R U going to pick us up later? All my bags are packed and Oeca is getting annoying.
Owen just stared at the phone. Thank god for facial recognition, he supposes.
Owen: Sure. What time?
It took Owen a good hot minute to process the fact whoever this was said Oeca. He had to blink a few times before he checked the persons profile picture.
“Magic?”
How in the name of anything holy, did Magic not only have a phone- but had him saved? She was saved as Mags? Who the hell gives that type of nickname to someone? It looks weird written down.
His phone dinged again.
Mags: around 5:30. See you old man
Owen just stared at it. He turned his head and stared at the first photo he saw- the one of him and the girl and processed that the girl was Magic.
He had to look around more.

Owen jumped. Who the heck was that?
”Yourself you idiot.”
”Where are you.” Owen said with much more demand then he intended.
”In your head.”
“What?”
”Yeah- I’m you, but better.”
Owen’s voices promptly exploded and argued that- ‘No! Maze Owen is better than you!’ And a few curse words that Owen was not saying. The voice laughed.
”Alright! I’m you. Or as your voices would put it- ‘Evil Owen’. I hardly consider myself evil! I’m just…doing what’s necessary.”
