Mondstadt’s love for their archon is surprising. For an absentee archon, Barbatos’ face is rather unavoidable in the city walls: they nurse drinks with his words, dance to his tunes, pray at his altar. While Tartaglia is the black sheep in the Fatui for his simple loyalty, it seems all of Mondstadt feels the same for their own Archon.
There is no cost to this sort of love. No price, no loss.
Yet there is no such affection in Kaeya’s eye as they bow before Barbatos’ altar. Not when they sing hymns, nor when they pray.
A singular dull star.
