Summary
There is a piece of paper stuck in between the door, a little crumpled thing that looks like it's been through things.
Huh?
Fermin reaches out and opens it carefully, hoping that whoever left it there isn’t trying to poison him and cause a very painful death by papercut. That would be rather inconvenient, considering he has quali and the sprint tomorrow.
He fishes his phone out from a pocket, trying to use the glow of the screen to illuminate the note.
Are you a parking ticket? ‘Cause you got fine written all over you.

Unfortunately for Max, George's solution was to stop.

Summary
As he took a turn and the wind shifted slightly, the smell of freshly baked goods floated through the air, calling out to George in a chocolate-filled invitation that he couldn’t ignore. Sue him; he liked a good croissant- nothing wrong with that.
He briefly considered his options: he could continue his walk to nowhere in particular, or he could follow the delicious scent of pastries. It was a no-brainer, truly. So, he shrugged and let the smell lead him to a modest little cafe with blossoming flowers in every nook and cranny.
