Summary
Newt Scamander was in sent to a reorientation centre following his expulsion from Hogwarts, viewed as an unstable and improper omega. By the time Theseus managed to gain custody, Newt was broken and terrified. Theseus cared for him as best as he could, and years later Newt still has the occassional nightmare but has handled the trauma well enough - until the events of New York.

After a lot of soul searching and questioning of his sanity, alpha Percival Graves decided to court the British omega, Newt Scamander.
He was pretty sure this would be a lot easier if it weren't for the fact that a) Newt had developed obliviousness into a goddamn art form and b) Newt's big brother had an over-protective drive that rivaled the zealotry of a religious fanatic. Speaking of over-protective brothers, Graves regretted ever giving Theseus his address.

Summary
Percival Graves has just spent several weeks in captivity fighting for his life. He's now got to deal with the aftermath of Grindelwald's deception and the webs of an underground crime ring that seems to cover the whole goddam city. The last thing he has time for is some ridiculous romantic drivel about soulmates so no, no thank you, he's not interested.
All the same though if Newt could just stay out of danger for one tiny second - just one! - then that'd be grand, because Graves is too busy to keep saving his life. Dammit.
