Three years ago, Will Byers was supposed to have died. They had a funeral. Everyone thought he had died. Even himself. In his time in the upside down, he'd begun to think he was dead.
But when he woke up in that hospital, that damn hospital, he was almost disappointed. For, deep down, he knew the memories of that week wouldn't leave him so easily. They'd stay with him, perhaps for the rest of his life. So, he concluded he'd be better off dead.
