Summary
Shane’s eyes narrowed at the weak excuse. “So you randomly decided to announce your bisexuality the day after pictures of me kissing a man hit the internet.”
Ilya felt a surge of irrational jealousy and shoved it away. “Was not random. I just said that I did it because I had gay FOMO. Keep up, Hollander.”
Shane let out a strangled sound of disapproval and pinched the bridge of his nose between two fingers. “Rozanov. Please tell me that you didn’t…that you didn’t out yourself for me.”
OR: Nothing ever happens between Shane and Ilya at the CCM shoot. After the 2017 All Star Game, Ilya’s unchecked obsession gets a little out of hand.
OR OR: In 2017, Shane gets outed. Ilya takes matters into his own hands.

Summary
“I thought Ilya was, like, the man here,” Hayden motioned. Something suspiciously sounding like Jackie’s voice in the back of his brain told him that wasn’t the right wording, but he was too tired and already too buzzed to care. Besides, this was Shane, he didn’t need to say the perfect thing. Shane knew what he meant.
Scott shifted. “They are both men, Hayden” he said very formally. Hayden suddenly felt like his dad was lecturing him.
Hayden sighed. “No, Shane, you know what I mean.”
Shane’s brow furrowed in concentration. “Like, because I bottom?” He said, slightly embarrassed.
Scott’s steady gaze on Hayden suddenly turned very sharp.
“No!” Hayden started. “Well, maybe? I don’t know how that works. I just mean, like, you’re real gay and Ilya likes women, right?”
OR 5 times Hayden realizes other people know his best friend better than him, and the 1 time Shane tells him himself.

Summary
Rozanov's so… professional. He's all grown up and not at all like the boy he once was. The polite smile never leaves his face even when he's looking at Shane.
"You are very lucky," Rozanov tells him, "That your concussion is only mild. Seeing me is a not so good thing, okay?"
Shane sighs through his nose, pouts. "Yeah… okay. But… I haven't seen you in a million years. Why are you a doctor now? You should be playing hockey—" He wiggles a little, grins sideways— "With me."

or, after wondering what happened to Ilya after the NHL draft, Shane discovers he's been in Montreal the whole time, and more than that, is an entire doctor instead of the hockey player he should've become.
