Generally speaking, Robby can handle a busy–but not overly catastrophic–day in the ED with the grace of a ballerina wearing long-dead pointe shoes. He's got the moves down, but the vessel itself is a bit weary—though still able to take the beating. Generally speaking, he hadn't set some arbitrary date to confess to Jack fucking Abbot that he's not only in love with him but they should give this whole relationship thing a chance.

Robby works himself up into a tizzy during the one day the AC is out, making himself sick. It's also the day he's planning to confess to Jack that he's in love with him. Keeping things simple is for the weak. -

Summary
The heat is overwhelming once back in the car, but Kevin bears it only for the shivering form in the backseat. He keeps an eye on him, glancing into the rearview as often as he can while maintaining safety as he drives, but Peralta never notices. Raymond's coat is almost comically large on him—the sleeves hanging over his palms and the shoulders too wide for the young man's smaller frame. It would be reminiscent of a little boy playing dress up in his dad's clothing if it weren't for the fact that Peralta is not only an adult, but one that they had found near frozen on a bench in the middle of the night. His head is down, wet hair dripping rivulets onto his face, and his arms are wrapped tightly around his body like a lonely hug.
It's such a pitiful sight that Kevin feels something inside of him crack. Raymond's hand, still a little cold from being outside, slips into his and squeezes.
“You know,” Peralta's voice cuts through the silence of the car, “my dad showed up again.”Or
Jake's dad returns and causes an upheaval in his life that no one is sure he can come back from.

Summary
“Dr Carter's… Dr Carter's been shot.”
Those are the words that crackle through County General's radio, but nobody truly believes them until the ambulance screeches to a halt outside the entrance, and Mark tugs open the passenger side door- only for Carter's unconscious body to list out, covered in blood from the neck down. Somebody sobs.
“I drove as fast as I could.” Zadro explains, stumbling over his words as the assembled team (Mark, Carol, Lydia, Malik) struggles to pull Carter onto a backboard. “Tried to put pressure on his neck but the blood just kept coming.”
OR
Carter is shot in S5 E17 instead of the other paramedic.

Summary
It's a Tuesday in July and Robby has, in the past six hours, been punched in the face, had his nose set twice (long story), been informed that his college fish is now a matter of departmental record, ranked the nursing staff in order of quality (twice, differently, in front of each other), and received food he cannot eat for reasons that were clearly documented.
The food thing was Ogilvie. The fish thing was nobody's fault. The nose thing is complicated. (It also, somehow, involves Ogilvie).
Jesse has a bead kit. Dana has opinions. Jack is flying from Miami and has been texting Shen for updates since his arrival at the Atlanta airport, which Shen is finding both useful and, frankly, a little much.
The department is running fine without him. This is either very reassuring or extremely annoying, depending on the hour.
Gerald Fishman could not be reached for comment.
