Summary
At 18 years old, Skyler has been living on her own for as long as she can remember. Surviving day to day isn't easy when you're up against extremely intelligent Apes that can kill you just for looking at them in the wrong way, but she also doesn't trust herself to live with humans just like her because she's afraid of getting attached to anyone, but all that changes when she meets the one thing she's been told since she was little to avoid, the one species that killed her dad that she's been unable to forget and that thing was Ajax, a loner Ape that isn't affiliated with anything or anybody who also prefers to be alone. They cross paths and at first there's hostility and no trust between them, but then they slowly come to understand each other and eventually even love each other despite their obvious differences.
(This story takes place a year after the events of Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes.)

Summary
On the frontiers of Johto, a pack of houndour live. The pack leader, a houndoom, finds a baby in a helicopter crash. Given a warning by a roaming absol, he is forced to raise the child as one of the pack for thirteen years. At that time, Ava is kidnapped after a series of misunderstandings by the Pokemon Rangers. The only houndour to search for her is the closest to her, the runt of the litter, named Efreet. In order to get home, she is required to show the world that she has what it takes to live on the fringe of civilization. But evil is spreading throughout the Johto region, and with two teams demanding power, it's inevitable that Ava finds herself in the middle of the worst...
