Summary

"Let's go get that tea," Chan murmured, finally pulling away but keeping a firm grip on Seungmin's hand. "And then maybe you can read your book in here with me. If you don't distract me too much."
Seungmin let out some form of a whimper (very embarrassing) as he nodded.
"Good," Chan hummed, pressing another kiss to Seungmin's neck. "My perfect omega."

"Are you okay, Prince Seungmin?"
"I'm going to vomit." Seungmin was very blunt and uncaring for whatever punishment he might get for it.
"Oh?" There was surprise in the king's voice, "Was it the food? Is something upsetting your stomach?"
"Your courtier's words are twisted and vile and I am sick of listening to them talk to me like I'm an object for them to look at and lust over. At least have the decency to talk behind my back."
"We've been here for an acceptable time. Would you like to retire to our chambers?"
Seungmin snorted, "That eager to bed me?"
"I-" The king started but Seungmin didn't let him get even a syllable out.
"It's going to have to happen tonight anyway. Might as well get it done with as soon as possible." Seungmin dropped his napkin onto his plate, before pushing back his chair and standing up, "Let's go." He was trying to push through it as fast as he could before his fake confidence crumbled away.

“That’s our Hyunjin,” Chan says with no bite, he doesn’t mean it badly— he never would.
It doesn’t stop the knot in his throat when she replies with a sigh. “Must be nice to be so pretty.”
What does that mean? Does she think he’s dumb or useless? She sounds wistful, like she really means it— like she thinks he doesn’t need anything else, like he isn’t anything else.
He tries to smile, he really does, but it comes out more of a grimace. Ugh, he could already picture the comments on this interview.
