Summary
After the portal remained silent for years, strangers come through from a parallel world. The Shinobi world is at peace save for waiting for the Otsusuki to make their move. They are not expecting Hunters from another world to come after their powers. The Inu Yokai, Keiko, who sought refuge in Konoha before the Fourth Great Shinobi War is targeted unexpectedly by the newcomers. Lost in a new world with no way to return, Keiko makes an unusual ally in Hisoka.
--The man in the trees was all but forgotten by Keiko. He stood in at the edge of the clearing, leaned next to a tree. He was dressed in a manner that looked like he had dipped himself in a deck of cards. It played well off of the eccentric swept back red hair and his gleeming yellow eyes. A trickle of blood ran down his hand. The man licked the drop with a grin. He hadn’t realized he had been biting his knuckle as he watched. He hummed what was half a moan. How he longed to have his slender fingers and pointed nails around her beautiful throat. Though whether to make her cry in pain or pleasure, or both, he hadn’t decided. But that was not why he came.

Summary
Prequel to "Resonance" and "Reverberations"
Keiko, and inuyoukai travels through a portal to other worlds after having been cast from her clan for caring about humans. Upon her return to her world, she is nearly killed before she can escape. She finds herself in a world of shinobi. This world is somehow different than the others she has visited. She is free, but little more than a prisoner. She finds herself the ward of an ANBU operate, Hatake Kakashi. His familiar demeanor is shrouded in mystery at first. They both continue to test the waters until something new is born. Could it be love?

Summary
Keiko, is a Inu-Yokai that was taken in by the Village of the Hidden Leaf before they knew what she truly was. She traveled between worlds to find her place and find love only to find that there were others in this world who were alone among their kind.
She falls in love with Kakashi in secret, meanwhile, the council of the Hidden Leaf has plans to use her to solidify their fradgile bond with the Village of the Hidden Sand....through marriage. Keiko has to take matters into her own hands to keep Kakashi. A staggering loss brings the villages together. Meanwhile, the Aatsuki work to undo everything they've worked for as Orochimaru outmaneuvers them in his quest for the greatest prize.
As the threat of war escalates, Gaara rises to to challenge the Kage Summit to join forces.

I realize I've changed some of the order of events and outcomes of the original story, but I tried to capture the characters of Naruto as best I could and try to develop on that.
There's not really been any feedback thus far so I hope it's ok. This is my first fanfic. I'm having fun writing it! ^,^Includes some drawings by me
