As he lay there trapped in his bed he would see a weird woman staring at him. She had no form, she was more a shadow with eyes that were a lovely shade of green and a large crook grin that would been creepy if it wasn’t radiating kindness. And love.

Caitlyn cleared her throat, heart racing for no good reason. “You, uh… already moved in?”
“Yeah. Got here this morning. Thought I’d shower before things got chaotic.” Vi eyed the box. “Want a hand?”
Caitlyn shook her head. “No, I’m good. Thanks.” She hesitated. “You like music?”
Vi chuckled, making Caitlyn feel butterflies in her stomach again. “Yeah, kind of addicted. You’ll hear it a lot. Hope that’s not a dealbreaker.”
Caitlyn set the box down on the kitchen counter. “Not at all. I—” she turned slightly to glance back at Vi, who was now rummaging through a cabinet, “—just wasn’t expecting someone so...”
Vi looked over her shoulder, smirking. “So…?”
Caitlyn’s mouth went dry. “…Prepared. Most people move in with a lot more chaos.”
Vi smirked. “I’m not most people.”
No kidding, Caitlyn thought.

Summary
During one of their routine encounters with Jinx, something goes wrong and Caitlyn gets sucked into a rift. When she opens her eyes she is still in the same location but she knows something is not right. For starters the building isn't blown to bits from the encounter and shes alone. Or at least she thinks she is until she feels a familiar hand reaching into her pocket.
When Vi wakes with a groan her and Jinx are in the decimated battle with Caitlyn missing and no idea where she went. With a plea to her sister who is feeling amiable and swallowing of her pride they hike Topside to ask Pretty Boy himself to help them get Caitlyn back from wherever she ended up.

All Vi can see is blue. What can she feel? Absolute pain, but the pain is starting to fade. She can hear voices panicking. What’s going on? They have to leave before enforcers show up. She tries to sit up, but then the pain returns and someone pushes her back down, then there is pressure on her shoulders. Someone is holding her down. She hears someone talking and really tries her best to focus on it.

Our story picks up at the apartment explosion, but the characters are aged up. Vi is hurt in the explosion, Caitlyn is there to save the day and Vi's life.
