Summary
Arleena is a noblewoman serving as an envoy to the Targaryen Court in the Red Keep for House Vorellian, a fellow dragon riding house.
Though Arleena has come to serve as an envoy, she has little interest in the Targaryen court and other duties pertaining to noblewomen.
Rather, she has expected to come to the Red Keep to be the first Vorellian to die upon foreign shores, away from her Ancestor-Saintess, Aaliyah.
Being of a foreign, salacious culture seen as savage by the Royal Court, and following an ancestral worshiping religion seen as an affront by the Seven, Arleena has gained an ominous and exotic reputation known as the Vorellian Blood Witch.
Isolation causes her to spend time at brothels as her salacious habits die hard.
Unfortunately, she has attracted the attention of Aemond Targaryen.
Despite Arleena wanting to be left alone, she finds that the one eyed prince is quite dogged in the hunt of his quarry.
Aemond is intense and unwavering in trying to seek to understand the Vorellian noblewoman more.
Knowing that Arleena is suffering from a terminal disease and is slowly dying seems to only add to the challenge.
Aemond was never one to flee from a challenge.

Several years later, he finds his old flame foolishly entering his life again and this time he does not intend to let her go.
