Summary
Sky sits on one side, and Rain the other. After a brief hesitation, Rain grabs one of Pai’s hands to ground him, while Sky starts rubbing his back in comfort.
“P’Pai…whatever it is…we’ll figure it out,” Sky says, Rain nodding along like a bobble head.
Pai, in answer, wordlessly holds up a folded piece of paper the boys had both missed previously. Sky takes it cautiously, and opens it slowly.
Once he sees what it is, he feels a little bad. But mostly smug.
“Oh…that…”

“And you’re the…fujoshi,” Sky says back as a challenge, stumbling over the last word a bit. Rain had taught him the word the other day after he had started researching the…fandom.
It still feels weird to think that out loud.

Summary
Normally the main family guards rarely interacted with him besides disdainful looks. The minor family guards were kinder at least. They just looked at him curiously, like Chay was a new puppy and they were waiting to see what tricks he knew. At first Chay felt offended, but then…well…then he met Macau.
A LOT of things about the minor family made more sense after meeting Macau.
