Summary
“Tonight we celebrate the union of our families,” he said. “May Allah bring us barış… moving froward.”
Glasses clinked. Some people cheered. Others simply nodded.
Fadime lifted her own glass of şerbet, the sweet drink cool against her fingers. Before she could take a sip, Iso’s low voice reached her ear.
“Barış,” he repeated quietly, almost mockingly. “Do you believe in that word, karım?”
Fadime turned her head slightly, her green eyes meeting his blue ones. For a moment, the noise around them seemed to dim.
“I believe in duty,” she answered softly. “That is what this is. Nothing more.”

Summary
A blood feud. Centuries old. Began for love, between two villages. Ended that love, by spilling blood, and covering it with the earth that it had seeped into. That spoilt soil, that had taken lives. That scarred soil, that had taken away love, every single time.
The blood that had declared them enemies, the blood that had made them betray each other.
The blood that wasn’t enough to come between them. The sullied soil, that had hidden them, in the darkest of nights, as they found each other.
A blood feud, centuries old.
A love that had bloomed, in the flowing river of blood.
Fadime Koçari hates secrets. Ismail Furtuna pays for it.
Fadime hates liars, but holds a truth even she can't face.
