"Sunshine, where did you go?"
Tommy tightens his grip over his mouth, desperate to keep any sound from escaping.
"I don't think he's left yet. I can't find any scent outside," one of them replies. The first lets out a frustrated sound.
"Then where is he? Why haven't we found him?!"
"Easy, Will. There's only so many places he could be hiding. We'll find him eventually."Tommy has been dragged into the literal snake pit. If he doesn't escape now, he never will.

“Oh Wil,” Tommy sighed, pushing the door open fully as he stepped into the room. Wilbur didn’t react as Tommy walked over to the bed, and he didn’t react when Tommy sat down on the mattress next to him either. He blinked once, but his gaze didn’t move from that empty spot on the wall.
Reaching out, Tommy rested a hand on Wilbur’s shoulder, and the only reaction he got was more blinking from his older brother.
“Are you having one of your bad days?” Tommy asked.
Wilbur didn’t respond.
“Can you hear me?” He tried again.
There was a single blink, and Tommy figured that was the closest thing to an answer he was going to get.

"We have to leave," Wilbur pulled at Tommy's hand. "We have to leave now." Tommy didn't budge.
"What's going to happen to us?" He whispered, staring at at the pale light on the pavement.
Wilbur couldn't answer. They couldn't go back to the group home, they would give them new placements, separate them, and then Wilbur would never see Tommy again. They couldn't go back home, Wilbur still heard the screaming from the open window.
"We'll figure something out, I promise."
Or: Wilbur and Tommy run away from another foster home. Techno and Phil are roommates who just so happen to catch them stealing from their trash.

Summary
The crows continue to surround him. Maybe they know he isn't a real crow, sense the impostor. Tommy would have laughed if it wasn't for the hundred fucking crows watching him like a walking bag of food.
He is about to get ejected. He is about to fucking die.
OR
Tommy dies in the prison and respawns in the body of a crow.
Phil and Techno are clueless that this angry injured fledgling is actually Tommy.

Summary
NECCESARY FOR READING: this is an au. Imagine the same situation of homecoming happened, except no Ned, no MJ, and no help from Tony Stark. Basically, Peter saving that ferry and defeating vulture all by himself. We imagine Peter as Tom Holland, but you do you. Please also imagine the Spider-Man suit as the sweatpants pajamas type he has early on in homecoming.
Movie versions of the avengers are all acceptable, except for Clint. Imagine deaf, no family, normal comic Clint.

Summary
Dream is pleased with the progress he's made with Tommy, but he worries. He worries that his friends might pull him back, worries that Tommy will stop believing him. Luckily Dream has a plan. After the disastrous beach party he lures Tommy somewhere new, a cabin in the middle of a snowy biome where he couldn't leave and no one could find him.
As Tommy becomes more and more isolated with Dream convincing him his own memories can't be trusted and he's a danger to himself and his friends the L'Manburg citizens race to find their missing friend and take him from the clutches of Dream's manipulation and bring him home.

Summary
It starts as a joke. One he carries on a little too long maybe, sure, but a joke nonetheless. He knows Wilbur is in a dangerously bad mood, but there have been so many times he had pulled similar moods to something better by pressing with jokes until it finally got through and he could make his brother laugh again. He doesn't see how it could fail, doesn't see why this time would be any different, doesn't even stop to consider that Wilbur's dangerous mood may take advantage of trouble when Tommy manages to find it. Why would he? It had never happened before.
But there are firsts for everything, and all it takes is placing redstone for everything to go wrong.

Summary
Tommy stumbled through the snow, ears ringing and body aching. He hadn't expected Dream to be that mad. He definitely wasn't expecting Dream to blow everything up. Right now all he expected and wanted to do was go steal all of his older brother's shit and maybe find a way to get back home along the way.
What he didn't expect was to wake up frozen in the tundra without his hearing. What Techno didn't expect was to suddenly be dealing with his deaf younger brother who refused to tell him anything about what happened to him.
The world works in funny and cruel ways.
