The toy begins to buzz in Lestat's hand. Surprised, he nearly drops it in his lap.
"Looks like it works," Louis says. The buzzing increases to a rapid pace, then slows, then stops. "Lots of crazy settings on here."
Reassured by Louis' smile and a hint of lust behind his eyes, Lestat settles back against the couch.
"Perhaps we can explore these settings together?" Lestat suggests, licking his lips. "I could use some help unwinding after a long day of unpacking boxes."
Lestat buys a toy and needs Louis' help with it… on FaceTime.

He doesn't really want to fuck right now, despite what his body is signaling. The prospect honestly makes him feel a little ill. Yet he would do anything to keep Louis here another five minutes, do anything just to keep feeling his hands on his skin. Maybe afterwards, if Lestat pleases him, he'll be held, kissed, and that gaping void will fill just the tiniest bit, the loneliness will become bearable for a little while.
A run-in with the local coven and a disagreement with his mother leaves Lestat in a bad place. He's surprised at who comes looking for him.

Lestat slowly opens his eyes, blinking a few times as his brain tries to catch up with the question. He looks over at Louis, who seems to be deep in thought, eyes set on a painting hanging on the wall opposite them, but not really looking at it, his mind clearly elsewhere.
“Is it just the vampire bond?” Louis asks, tearing his eyes from the painting to focus on Lestat instead. His voice softens just a touch. “Or do we have something deeper than that?”

“Lestat,” Louis approaches him, doing so without caution, believing he needs none. It turns out to be a grave mistake. Lestat slips away, dragging himself across the floor to take shelter between the wall and the nightstand. He puts his hands in front of his face when Louis tries to reach him, as if—as if Louis were going to hit him. “Love—you’re scaring me. Tell me what’s going on?”
Lestat gasps for air; his breathing grows increasingly labored. Louis fears, with scornful sincerity, that he’ll end up collapsing from suffocation, forgetting that he doesn’t need to breathe.
