“It’s not like I have a choice, anyway," Keigo added. "It’s been four months already, it’s not like they’re going to stop now.”
“Well,” Touya said, drawing the word out. “If you ever defended yourself, maybe they’d stop picking on you.”
Keigo groaned, letting his bag drop to the floor as he took a seat on the bench. This wasn’t the first time Touya had brought up this point. In fact, he’d been bringing it up nearly everyday for the past four months.
Touya clearly hadn’t been okay with the bullying since the moment it started. Not that Keigo was okay with it, either. He wasn’t. Touya, though… Touya saw the taunts as a challenge. He seemed to see every opportunity to best someone as a chance to prove himself.OR... Keigo is being bullied by the older kids at the CTC. Him and Touya have differing opinions on how to handle it.

“Of course, it is, Mom!"
“Oh, I don’t know, sweetie,” she continued more softly. “I feel better knowing you come home safe and sound, and a couple of nights is one thing, but you’ll be fighting-”
“Why don’t you believe in me?”OR... The HPSC hosts an end of the year exam/tournament for their hero training course students at the end of every year. This is the first year Keigo and Touya will be allowed to participate. With their place at the Commission and their reputations on the line, will the two be up for the challenge? Or will they be forced to give up and let it go?

Keigo understood a lot for a nine year old. He understood basic battle strategy. He understood how to utilize his quirk in an array of situations such as rescue missions, hand to hand combat and long distance fighting. He understood how important his role as a future hero was to society.
But one thing he did not understand was Touya Todoroki.
OR Keigo has a goal to befriend Touya Todoroki - the super cool kid with a fire quirk that definitely reminds him of his favourite hero. Unfortunately, Keigo's never made friends before and his first attempt doesn't necessarily go as planned.

Summary
“Did you want me to come see you?” Keigo asks after that silence had stretched out too long for it to not have been burdened by any kind of troubling feelings.
Touya slips his boot off of Keigo but it stays pressed against the edge of the chair between his legs. He shrugs as though he doesn’t care. His words contradict his attitude, like always.
“An appearance would’ve been nice. We had something.”
Keigo’s brows furrow. Touya shouldn’t be able to say that and look him in the eye, but he does anyway.
“It was nothing real,” he bites out with a clear intent to hurt him.
Touya is so disconcertingly severe when he responds, “Yeah, but it was horrible and it was ours.”
Keigo looks away because he swears his heart skips a beat at that. Not in a good way, but in the way it would if one were to receive news of a close friend passing.

Keigo and Touya run into each other after the war. It has been over two years. They still don’t know how to talk. So they argue. They fuck. They daydream. Touya cries. Keigo is all out of tears. They’ll never understand each other and it hurts.
