Summary
Hello, I’m not Rod sterling and this is : The few times I’ve had a “twilight zone” moment. These all happened to me or my family (mostly just me my mom and my sister). Some of these sound like rejected plots of the twilight zone, some of them just sound like I needed to be medicated at some point. Regardless they are true stories and not many people believe me that they did as aside from this I have no proof. Enjoy.

“What the hell did you do, Michael?”
Michael blinked at him, startled.
“Cuz I was dead.” David’s voice sharpened. “We were dead. Burned, staked, drowned. And now…” He gestured around them — the neon, the crowd, the same night replaying itself. “We’re standing here like none of it ever happened. So, tell me, what the hell did you do?”
Michael’s mouth opened, but no sound came out. His heartbeat thundered in his ears.
“I—I don’t…” he stammered, backing up a half-step. “I don’t know, David, I just.......I rode out to the hotel....I screamed until my throat bled. I told you I was sorry. I begged you to forgive me.” His fingers shook as he spoke, his eyes glassy. “And then…Everything went dark, and when I woke up.....I was in the car again. Back at the start. Like none of it happened.”
The silence that followed was heavy, drawn tight.
Paul exhaled slowly. “So… you wished us back?”
“I didn’t mean to!” Michael said quickly. “I didn’t even know I could!"

Summary
A year and a half after the Mind Flayer possessed Will, things are about as normal as they can be. The Party just completed their freshman year, the summer is upon them, and Mike’s nightmares are only happening once every few weeks now.
Things are, in all honesty, starting to look up for them.
But when the Mind Flayer comes back with a new plan to take over Hawkins, they’re thrown back into the world of the Upside Down.
Mike finds himself growing more desperate to keep Will safe with every new threat until his own morals start to slip away.

Season 3-5 rewrite with no Vecna, no Russians, and no California. A darker take on the story with a focus on continuing the Miwi dynamic into the later seasons.
