Summary
Based on a remote research base in a far flung sector of the galaxy near untouched by their war, a clean-up crew is sent to pack down and destroy all trace of their research to avoid it falling into enemy hands. Unbeknownst to them, they are not alone – the inmates of the prison their research base was inadvertently(?) built on top of are waking up, and they’re not happy to have been disturbed. Further unknown to both groups, a third party has noticed the signs of life on the long-dead planet and has come to investigate…

Summary
There's no welcome squawk when he hails the ground comms. His first thought is that the whole assignment might be some kind of Autobot trap, because he's not stupid, but he discards the idea when he pings the defense emplacements directly and gets a friendly return. It wouldn't be the first time some slagger on the aft end of nowhere skipped out on monitoring incoming space traffic.
He sets his shuttle down on the half-buried landing pad and disembarks to nothing but wind howling out of the endless desert to the east.
Vortex ends up on some middle-of-nowhere Decepticon base to interrogate some no-name Autobot prisoner. He's prepared to be bored out of his processor, but the mech he finds is much more than he's prepared to handle.

Summary
First Aid, who has been Vortex’s on-again off-again fling for the past millennia, hasn’t been answering his comms for weeks now after suddenly going off the radar, and Vortex is starting to get a little worried. Despite the pushback from his team, he decides to investigate, undergoing a dangerous search that utilizes his desperate need for answers and a painful lack of situational awareness.
