This is Fern and Stark's journey together, but the in-betweens of their adventures. Two young adults grow into their own and grow into their hormones. The intensity between them becomes stronger with each adventure they're on. What isn't shown to the audience from Frieren's non-romantic and definitely non-sexual eye? The answer is sweetness, clumsiness, and an attraction that can only be shown in a way that Fern and Stark can.
