The clock indicated that it was almost midnight, and the streets of Death City were quieter than usual. The streetlights flickered faintly, forming long shadows along the streets.
Death the Kid walked down one of the main avenues, his footsteps echoing softly againts the floor. The cool evening breeze caressed his face, but failed to quell the tiredness that had accompanied him all day.
Perphaps bumping into a certain Schythe Meister could cheer his night up.
