Summary
Picks up immediately after the events of Holding Up The Heavens at Gunpoint (Part 2 in this series).
With The Crimson Raiders seemingly placated and back to hunting Vaults for Atlas, everything's finally coming up Strongfork.
For now.
Corporate machinations go both ways, and Rhys has been making far more enemies than friends. Depending who you ask, he's a visionary leader, an ambitious go-getter, or iron-fisted tyrant and megalomaniac hellbent on subjugating the universe. He's not a "good" person - he'll freely admit it - but he hardly considers himself the villain, either. He's the lesser of evils, and he's convinced that finding Vaults is necessary to protect humanity.
So who cares if he makes a little profit along the way? He deserves it.The slash pairing is subplot. Still considering this genfic.

Picks up shortly after the events of The Weight of the World (Part 1 in this series).
With four mega corporations and a (far too agreeable) unknowable entity under his control, Rhys Strongfork, CEO of Atlas wields more power - and has more enemies - than anyone in the Six Galaxies. Viewing the Vaults as an extinction-level threat to humanity, he's determined to find them all. But finding Vaults is notoriously difficult; with only the volatile Crimson Raiders having any decent record of success.
They also carry a far more troubling track record: how they deal with those calling themselves heroes.

Rhys has been CEO of Atlas for almost seven years now. His leadership brought Atlas back from extinction. By his hand, Atlas was no longer at the bottom of the corporate food chain. He's earned his reputation, both good and bad; because being a successful CEO in the Borderlands means making decisions that get others killed. Business on the Rim was cutthroat, literally. Anything else would find you dead. That was just the truth of it. He'd grown comfortable with it - allowed it to stroke his ego.
Then Tediore's Anahatium weapon sobers him to the reality of how fragile it all really is.
What is he willing to do to ensure nothing like that could ever happen again? How far will he go?
