Summary
Draco Malfoy was a liar. He had lied all his life; it was all he had ever known. But his lies eventually caught up to him. As punishment for hiding Potter's identity, he was left permanently mute. And as punishment for aiding the Dark Lord, he was required to return to Hogwarts for his eighth year.
Harry Potter was lost. He was the Savior, the Boy Who Lived. He killed Voldemort and saved the wizarding world. So why did he feel so empty? Drifting without a purpose, he hoped returning to Hogwarts would give him meaning again. Although hesitant about Malfoy's arrival, Harry soon discovered that the other boy needed saving, giving him a purpose once more. But how could one save someone who didn't want to be saved?
