Rook tilted his head, his attention moving to the platinum blond behind Yuu. The same vivid purple eyes Rook could never tire from seeing, except something felt different. This was his queen and yet not at the same time.
Rook sidestepped Yuu and walked closer to the blond who was toying with his sleeves, observing the Pomefiore dorm lounge. Which the blond should have memorized by now. “Roi du Poison?” He reached out and gently grabbed the blond’s hand.
Vil turned toward Rook, tilting his head in confusion before taking his hand from Rook and putting it out, asking for a handshake. “Oh, hello! My name is Vil… Schoenheit! Who are you?”
Rook stumbled back a little, his breathing coming out uneven before he took a deep breath and readjusted himself. He flashed Vil his practiced smile and shook his hand. “Bonjour, fair Vil. I’m Rook Hunt, pleased to meet you. Toujours aussi belle.”
