"Because I want to! Hell, I'm gonna be the first person to step foot on that damn planet!" He exclaimed out, startling those around him.
The reporter instinctively, took a step back.
"There has to be some reason... anything at all? Not even out of curiosity?" she asked cautiously.
Katsuki wasn't about to tell them the truth-that he'd become obsessed with the bright star burning in the night sky.
And he definitely wasn't going to tell them how the signal from that distant planet somehow felt meant for him.

“Used him as bait,” he said. “Bakugo overheard us talking, so if he does predictively show up, my bad.”
“Predictively is such a big word for you,” Izuku teased. “And Kacchan will do what Kacchan wants.”
“You assholes in here talking shit?” Kacchan asked, closing the door and dropping his bag to the floor. He took residency at Izuku’s desk. “And you–” Kacchan pointed a finger at Shinsou, “owe me for siccing that icy hot bastard on me.”
“I am innocent until proven guilty,” Shinsou said, turning his head to look at Kacchan with an impassive look.
Izuku cleared his throat, trying to fight back a grin.
“You literally told Todoroki to go stall me, you asshole,” Kacchan said, chucking a pencil at him.
“Oh. You’re right. I did. It worked for a whole…” he looked down at his imaginary watch. “Five minutes apparently, since you arrived not long after me.”

“I’m gonna kill that bastard.” Katsuki’s throat burned from the harshness of the whisper. He pushed Izuku back by the shoulders to look him in the eye. “What did he do to you?”
“Bakugo!” A fist gripped the front of Katsuki’s hero costume. He was forcibly separated from Izuku, and his soul cried out from the loss. “Are you insane?! What’s the matter with you?”
“What’s the matter with me?” Katsuki echoed, finally registering Kirishima, of all people, dragging him out of reach, out of range, away, too far— “What’s the matter with him?” Katsuki pointed. “What did that perfect husband of his do to leave him like that?”
“Wait… you didn’t know? Bakugo, don’t you ever watch the news? It made international television.”
A beat passed.
“Dude, Rody was killed by a villain.” The floor fell out from Katsuki’s feet. “Midoriya’s husband is dead.”
OR
Izuku's husband dies and somehow only wants Bakugo as his support system. Bakugo reluctantly complies.

Izuku could do nothing about the way his breath quickened in his throat and his shoulders rose and fell fast, or about the blood that fled to his cheeks- yet he couldn’t seem to tear his eyes away for a moment. His grip on the marker was white knuckled, but the gloves prevented him from knowing.
“You-” He choked, and then he was standing up, flinging the stool out behind him and stepping back.
"You’re doing it on purpose!”
The whine of Izuku’s accusation rang in Katsuki’s ears and he went back to gritting his teeth, which certainly contrasted the disgusting squirm of fondness in his gut.
“I’m not going to do anything if you don’t cut it out.” Izuku huffed, and then he sat down, pulling the stool back in, and fucking smiled.
