Summary
Each night, Nona dreams of a girl with a skull-painted face. Each night, the girl dreams, too.
—
In the dream, Nona said, “I have dreamed many dreams, in my myriad of slumber. But awake,” she continued, turning to Gideon, looking her straight in the eye. “Awake, I have dreamed only of you.” -

I know there’s no chance the next book will be like this, but if I had any say on it, it would be just like this.

Summary
“What’s wrong with a little quid pro quo?" Ianthe asks, sweetly. "I’m giving you exactly what I know you need-” Harrow’s-no, Gideon's nostrils flare at that, “and in return you’re giving me something that I want very much.”
Post-HtN Ianthe has missed her chance with Harrow, hopefully only until some later date. In the mean time, there's always the naïve cavalier who wears Harrow's body awkwardly, like it's two sizes too small. Gideon may play-act the immovable object at first, but Ianthe is at her core an unstoppable force, and she learned long ago precisely how to identify fault lines in solid rock.
