Summary
Pale strands of gold fell in Andrew’s face, like beams of sunlight. A slight red flush sat high on his cheeks, and his dark t-shirt stuck to the sweaty areas of his skin. He should have looked messy, but if anything it only highlighted his control. The impassive stare, the way his amber eyes pinned Neil to the bed, the fact that he was fully clothed and Neil… wasn’t.

“The kissing.” Neil continued. “It’s just… everyone’s so adamant about it being good, all this shit about nerve endings and feeling fuzzy and happy. And I just… don’t get it. Is it really this good?”
Andrew shrugged.
“Some may say it feels better if you’re really interested in who you’re kissing.”
“I don’t get it.” Neil repeated, finally making eye contact with Andrew.
“What do you want from me, junkie?” he asked, almost exasperated, although still with this blank bored look on his face.
“Nothing.” Neil muttered, looking away.
“Neil.” Andrew said pointedly. “I thought we were past lying.”
“I’m not… It’s just… I… could you maybe kiss me? If it’s okay with you?”
Neil tries to navigate his for once perfectly ordinary life, the Foxes are there for him to figure it out, and one particular Andrew Minyard definitely doesn't make it any harder.

Summary
Neil's body was damaged. His past left deep, deep scars on his entire being. Now Neil had to deal with the aftermath in the form of chronic pain. He thought he was doing just fine, but, apparently, he was taking "too many painkillers" and had to learn to "work with his body." After being forced to get a cane by everyone in his life, Neil must grapple with the next stage of his life; learning to live as a cane using omega.
But how can he? After all, Neil wasn't allowed to be in pain.

Or, the Foxhole has a new regular, who seems to enjoy leaving Neil quite generous tips. It's a shame he's from a rival coffee shop.
