Nick shows Charlie what remains to this day one of his favourite photos—the one of them in the snow with Nellie, that he had gifted a print of to Charlie for his 15th birthday. He flips through a couple of nearly identical ones where the three of them are rolling in the snow with the camera lens in varying stages of focus.
Maybe Charlie will start to remember things about Nick and not just Nellie. He tries not to be jealous of his own dog. Even if Charlie doesn’t remember him, at least it’s his dog he remembers, over anyone or anything else.
Or, the obligatory amnesia AU where Nick tells Charlie the story of them.
