Summary
I eventually meet Eddie's eyes, and if I wasn’t already sitting I know that I’d collapse. He mutters softly, speaking in his voice that’s typically only reserved for Christopher, “What’s wrong?”
I can feel my bottom lip begin to tremble, “I’m, uh, I’m not fine, Eddie.”
He ducks his head, his hand still on my shoulder, eyes scanning my face and body for clues, before speaking, “I think that I’m going to need a little more information than that, Buckley.”
I can’t even believe my own words as they stumble out of my mouth, each one more ridiculous sounding than the last, “I, uh, haven’t really been myself recently. Um, I think that you’ve picked up on that actually, but I just, I don’t even know who I am anymore, Eddie. I can’t— I shouldn’t even be a firefighter right now.”
I laugh bitterly after my partial admission but Eddie’s not laughing. His arm drops from my shoulder so that he can scoot even closer to me, “Why shouldn’t you be a firefighter right now?”
“I haven’t been eating.”

What if instead of developing a dependence on substances, Buck developed an eating disorder.

Summary
I glance away and stare at the ground for a moment because I suddenly feel very angry and I don’t have any right to feel angry, especially right now, and especially at Will, “In general? Will, I’ve been good. I’ve been good. I don’t even know what you’re talking about. Nothing bad has happened, okay? I’m good.”
This time it’s Will who sounds upset, “Why can’t you just be honest with me, Mike? I mean— c’mon, you used to be. You used to be and you still can be. I’m not El—”
OR
A more Mike-focused scene with the same severity/tone as the one and only Byler rain scene: "it's not my fault you don't like girls!" that could've possibly taken place in between Season 4 and Season 5.

Summary
Will glances away first before laughing weakly, grabbing a small stick and twirling it in the dirt, “I don’t even really know how I did it, Mike.”
I immediately feel my face scrunch up in disbelief, “Right now it doesn’t matter how you did it, okay? You did it. You did it—"
OR
Mike and Will share a much needed conversation after Episode 4.

Summary
Eddie Diaz hates his high school. All the other students are either dumb jocks or superficial airheads. Eddie still has two years left of surviving his small town and he's counting down the days until he can go somewhere and meet people he actually likes— not these high school stereotypes. The worst stereotypical dumb jock is the infamous Evan Buckley who mainly goes by "Buck": an irritating football player who can charm his way out of any situation, but one day on Eddie's drive home he sees something that he probably shouldn't have. Buck is... distraught? Eddie's unsure, but he instinctively calms him down and brings him back to his house, resulting in the two surprisingly spending more time together. As their relationship becomes less surface level, the pair's connection grows, and Eddie begins to realize that there might be more than meets the eye with Evan "Buck" Buckley.
