It’s more of a whine at this point, really. They’ve tried almost everything. Scoured town after town in search of a mentor. What’s one more failure to a pile of them? Nevermind that she cannot teach what she does not know. Nevermind that he could die— She shudders, blinking back tears as her sister pulls her into a hug. It’s as warm and comforting as always; and Annabeth curses the way she melts into it.
“No,” whispers Thalia, (and Annabeth is eleven and the sands shift, but the earth doesn’t; and she just doesn’t understand.) “He needs you.”
Or, Annabeth Chase is not an earthbender. Not really.

Again, this series can be read in any order with the basic premise being that Spinel has been a Crystal Gem since the war.)

Summary
Huntr/x are the biggest K-Pop group in the world, and they’re going on tour. They aren’t demon hunters (that would be weird) but they are werewolves, obviously. Isn’t everyone? Zoey and Rumi’s wolf forms have been plastered on posters all over the world for years now, much to the joy of their adoring fans. They even wolfed out for an album cover shoot, once — Zoey’s smaller form tucked lazily against Rumi, biting her tail playfully. But Mira is always standing over them, human, because “someone has to bring the fashion.” It’s a little bit strange that Mira refuses to wolf out in front of anyone, but Rumi and Zoey love their girlfriend, and they will defend her right to privacy for as long as she needs.
This is a ‘Mira is a WerePuppy and Is Not Happy About It’ crackfic that is somehow also probably the closest thing to canon that I will ever write. They are werewolves. There are no demons. There is no logic behind this. They are Huntr/x and also werewolves, and this is perfectly normal in this fic’s world.

Summary
The blade is a familiar, steady threat, gleaming at her daughter’s throat.
“Ah, you’re home.” The voice is a shock of history, plucking at something inside her that longs to harmonise, but Celine can’t look away from the point of that weapon, the whitened pressure of the skin underneath it, the unhidden pattern bared to view.
“Cel—” the blade bites deeper as Rumi’s voice starts, as Celine takes a step forward in helpless response.
“Rumi,” Celine says, her voice wavering. “It’s okay. She won’t hurt you.” Her eyes flick up, once, to the cold, twisted hatred in a face she once loved, to the glittering determination there, and there’s an icy feeling of certainty that she just lied to her daughter, something she’d long since promised to avoid. “Ha-Eun.”
Celine has always tried not to lie to Rumi, but even after the Idol Awards, there remain some things left unsaid. The Third Sunlight Sister’s return forces them into the light.

And then her mind demands, what are you so afraid of?
She tightens her grasp around Zoey and Mira. She doesn’t let go. She hasn’t been allowed to be afraid yet. That’s not something she gets to be. She learnt this in its entirety at thirteen years old.
Nothing, she lies. Nothing at all.

Zoey finally speaks numbly, eyes staring a million miles away. "She thinks we're leaving her here. She thinks we'd do that to her."
Mira face turns deathly pale and her eyes widen.
"Why would you think-?"
"Oh, why wouldn't she, Mira?!" Zoey snaps, a nasty edge to her voice.
The silence that follows last a solid minute before Mira takes a deep breath and pulls the cooler and three suitcases out of the trunk.
"We are all staying here until we sort ourselves out. and then we are ALL returning to the penthouse, hopefully able to look one another in the eye again. Got it!? Great. Now, considering neither of you can drive, I suggest we go inside. Now."
Chapter 2 got Angsty. I'm not sorry.
