For what has to be the 1,000th time, Adrian thinks of their mate. ♪♫♪♫ would love to be here, clamoring for the opportunity to connect with intelligent life. They felt their vents flare with the weight of their grief.
"Yes, something else," their coworker, ♪♪♪, turns to their radio and twists a few knobs and adjustments until a strange voice spills out into the open air.
