Summary
The dust had settled and things were starting to turn around. The Huntrix had just released their first album after the almost-end-of-the-world, their friendship was strong as ever and Rumi had never felt better.
That was until her demon side started acting up and causing her problems.
At least she had Jinu there to help guide her through it– Jinu!?

In the mirror, her eyes were still golden. But they didn’t seem as unnatural now. They were warm. Luminous. Like sunrise caught in glass. Like the colour they fought to turn the Honmoon.
“I keep forgetting,” Rumi muttered, “that I don’t have to hide anymore.”
“That’s why we’re here,” Zoey said, nudging her with an elbow. “To remind you.”
Or: A week since everything went down, Rumi finds herself forgetting she doesn't have to keep things a secret anymore. (3 times +1)

Summary
Now, nobody had ever accused Tony Stark of being slow on the uptake. Or slow in general. He’d hacked the pentagon while still in high school and graduated top of his class at MIT at the ripe age of 17.
As he looked at the teenage girl in front of him who shared his mother’s eyes and his father’s nose, words like ‘reality displacement’ and ‘parallel continuum’ floated helpfully back into his head.
Or: Tony visits an alternate universe where it turns out he has a daughter. A daughter who somehow seems oddly familiar.

“Shit.” He blinked incredulously. “I’m dead.”
“You were dead.”
Or: Tony is given the chance to return to New York. With no money, phone or suit, he goes about finding the one person he knows in the city that he can trust. If only that person wasn't proving immensely difficult to track down.

Summary
“Better yet…” He muttered as he gazed at the arachnid on the table with a distrusting expression. “Underoos, as the self-proclaimed leading authority on overgrown spiders, why don’t you be the one to escort your brethren away.”
Peter almost choked on his lasagne. He pounded his chest as he managed to cough out, “my brethren?”
Or: Tony makes a joke about Peter's connection to spiders that turns out to be not so inaccurate afterall. Featuring witty banter, Harley Keener and a closet full of spiders.

By far one of my favourite AA fics. A terrific story that truly manages to deliver on the promises of it ambitious premise. At no point did it feel like the writing took the easy way out. So many character were given the chance to shine in a new light - in particular Godot was an unexpected highlight.
The ending was satisfying in the way that few are and yet I still feel bereft to be out of content for this story - and that's how I know I've read something truly great. Honestly, naratively and thematically complete as this fic was, I'd kill for a sequel. -

Akechi Goro is a fascinating mystery and probably dangerous, Akira thinks. It would be stupid to pass up the opportunity to learn more about him.
Kurusu Akira is a fascinating mystery and probably dangerous, Goro thinks. It would be stupid to pass up the opportunity to learn more about him.
And after all, there’s no time like the present. Why make a vague promise to stay in touch when they could seize the moment right after their first meeting? Why not make the first move before their opponent even realises the match has started?
It’s not like spending the day together could somehow change the game completely...
(OR: Akira accidentally speedruns Akechi’s entire confidant track on the day they meet, and opens up some new options in the process.)

This was so much fun. Joker and Akechi were both just written so WELL. Often times I find fics rely too much on existing dialogue from the source material but this one struck the perfect balance of following the same beats of the full confidant route while also feelings wholey unique in the approach and the dynamic being built.
35k words and the whole fic is essentially one super long first date. Fantastic. -

Summary
It would only be a matter of time before Langa noticed he was acting weird and confronted him about it. What was Reki supposed to do then? What could he say that would make sense? More sense than "yeah, sorry, man, I might have fallen a teeny-tiny bit in love with you"?
He froze. In love? No, no, nonono, that couldn’t be it. Admiration, friendship, and well, some type of crush, maybe, since Langa was so talented, and cool and always knew exactly what to say to make Reki feel all warm inside, but in love? A sequence from the video flowed into Reki’s mind; when Langa had started smiling, the pink evening light coloring his hair purple, and how his eyes had glittered, the way they always did when something made him truly happy or excited... Reki whimpered into his hands and squirmed, folding in on himself on the bed.
Damn it, damn it, damn it, DAMN IT.
He was so fucking screwed.
(Or in which Reki finds himself in a most surprising situation; on a paradise island with all his friends - travel and accommodation paid in full by his least favorite person. At least the man in question isn't with them. The holiday is challenging enough as Reki tries to figure out his confusing feelings for Langa.)

I read this for the first time a couple years ago and just finished re-reading it. Such a fun time. Just the right level of angsty misunderstandings mixed with enough fluff to keep the hope high. If the mythical SK8 Season 2 never arrives, this will be my canon sequel <3

Summary
There's a healing bullet wound on Peter's right thigh, one that makes him put more focus than he'd like into not limping despite the ache that comes with every step. One of the sweatshirts he snagged from Mr. Stark back when he was fifteen is pulled over his shoulders, hair visibly disheveled where it peeks out from the hood covering his head, hands shoved deep into his pockets as he waits in line. Realistically, his budget is too tight to fit a five dollar coffee from a corner café in Manhattan, but after the week he's had, he thinks he might not survive without getting pumped full of caffeine, so he ignores the part of him that says to tuck his wallet away and leave, instead stepping forward, fighting a wince when his injured leg is shifted and forced to hold his weight, and looking up when it's his turn to order.
On the other side of the counter, blue eyes and blond curls greet him, curious as they take him in, with a name tag pinned to the front of his apron that says Harley. There's also something instantly intriguing about him that Peter can't quite place.

Bookmarker's Notes
I started reading this fic way back when it first came out. I caught up, mourned the loss and accepted the inevitable feeling of being unable to read ahead on an addictive story. A few years later and I noticed it was finally complete, and so I stuck in to revisit and finally read the second half.
And I'm so glad I did.
Though a slow start, once it gets going and all the characters and plot elements come together it is SUCH a fun time. I have a soft spot for Parkner and this does the ship so much justice. And to see that there's going to be a sequel? I'm buzzing. Great read.
