Ever since the Olympics things have felt off. There had been nothing from Rozanov until today, six months of nothing, and Shane feels sick with shame at the memory of how easily he folded in the bathroom, how quickly he begged. All through this, Rozanov had been aloof and the usual jokes had a cruel edge. Shane didn’t want to see it, so happy to be close, so excited to be touched.
He had been so turned on, despite the nerves, despite the knowledge that this was wrong, but the glowing feeling he’d had every time, mixed in with the usual confusion and dread, wasn’t there. This time Rozanov made him feel, well, used.

Jaw Man flicked his middle finger up at Ilya, who didn’t seem to mind, and gestured towards Shane and Hayden with raised eyebrows. “The f*** are you even doing right now, man.”
Ilya said briefly, “Orgy.”
“Uh,” said Shane, “no, that’s not—”
Ilya grinned at him. It was a mean-edged grin but something about it seemed to suggest that he was joking with Shane, rather than about him. “Oh, he speaks.”
“We’re not here for an orgy,” Shane said to Jaw Man. “We’re missionaries with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.”
