Summary
Set during the height of Mondstadt’s tulip frenzy—when a single bulb can rival the price of a wealthy man’s home—the tulip-cultivating Gunnhildr family is presented with a rare opportunity: the chance to purchase a Florist.
Florists grow flowers from their flesh, and this one—Flins—produces the exceedingly rare Snowland Fae, a black-petaled tulip no grower in Mondstadt has ever managed to cultivate. With his bulbs, the Gunnhildrs could secure their future.
But when something far more costly than a flower begins to grow between Flins and the family’s adopted son, Varka, the two men must reconcile the family’s survival with the reality of Florists as commodities . . . and the truth that their bond is as forbidden as it is vital.
