The first two happened to be about Varric, and then I realized that they ALL had to be about Varric.
Varric, because he is the writer, the storyteller, the wordsmith. He understands words, and what they mean, and how sometimes there is no word for what you want to say in any of the languages that you know, so you tell a lie instead, something that comes close, something that at least approaches what you need it to be …
Of course these are about Varric.

“Some of what you carry,” Lan Zhan asks, his voice quiet. Almost hesitant. “Can you put it down?”
