You and Gojo share a look, equally befuddled. He mutters an uncertain “no” while you shake your head. Higuruma wrings his hands over the table and purses his lips uncomfortably, as if woefully unprepared to deliver bad news.
“Well, in preparing their will, they discussed who would look after Megumi in the unlikely and unfortunate event that they should both die,” He clears his throat before glancing back and forth between you and Gojo across the table. “And they named…both of you. Together.”
