“You’re not winning an Oscar for that one kid.” Steve teased, playfully pushing Dustin’s shoulder. “Seriously though, what’s up? You know you can talk to me, right?” He said sincerely, leaving his hand where it was on the kids shoulder in what he hoped was a comforting manner.
Dustin nods again, “Yeah… It’s just,” he starts before getting noticeably fidgety again. The silence lingers for almost a minute and Steve is about to prompt him again when he finally speaks. “Do you want me to stop coming over?”
Steve… had definitely not seen that one coming.
