Summary
Dust, or snow? Pacifist, or genocide? Dreams, or reality?
These night terrors haunt you, the fallen child sheltering with the skeleton brothers in the town of Snowdin, and though you may be determined you are so very, very frightened as well. In your ten-year old head, they die, over and over again like a sick, disorted record player on repeat, at your tiny hands smothered in LOVE, in their fine, chalky dust. It stains your hands with sins. You can't stand the way Papyrus smiles at you, not when you've cut him down a million and one times before, and when Sans shares another one of his puns you know he's judging you. You, a dirty brother killer.
How can anyone bear to look at you? It would be for the best if you just left, wouldn't it? -

Summary
Sans does not cave under the knowledge, the burden of knowing that everything could be torn away from them like a stuffed doll from a child. Sure, he's been practically nicknamed lazybones and his breaks are many with few work-related progress in between; but he manages to scrounge up enough cash to pay for rent and attends to his post every so often just to appease his brother. He doesn't quite give in, and he's DETERMINED to never do so, as long as Papyrus is here. Resets are actually a relief, strangled and corrupted they may be, once he's gone. Even if he'll just be cut down again eventually.
Of course, regardless of his not-quite-steel resolve Sans has his bad days.

Summary
Five times Taako manages to get a hug from one of his friends without having to actually admit that he wants a hug, and one time he flat out cops to it.
1. Taako hates being cold and wet. He's both, thanks to an inconvenient river. Magnus is a human furnace, and thus it begins.
2. Waking up feeling inexplicably lonely, Taako tries to goad Magnus into bickering with him in a bid for some company. He gets the company, at least.
3. Angus is almost hit by a rogue cart, Taako deals with being idolized and trusted by a kid he doesn't think he deserves the faith of.
4. During a fight, Taako almost dies, and Merle gets to practice his healing skills.
5. Magnus has a nightmare, Merle nearly loses Magnus after a fight, and Taako finds himself on the other side of things.

"And then there's a customized copy of PONY PALS, a gift to you on your 14th birthday from the slippery Mr. Strider. Each page contains lovingly hand-written commentary on the deeds of this intrepid young horse. Later, about halfway through the book, rather than see the gag through to the bitter end, Strider began pasting over entire pages of original text with his own completely rewritten version of the story, while keeping all the chapter titles. His revision is a tough, emotionally draining read. But it's cathartic, in all the worst ways possible.
He tends to get carried away with his projects."Note: this work is an altered book, and it plays on the physical relationship between the original pages and the edited text. As such, it's presented as a series of images. Reading the images is the only way to get the full experience, but I'm aware that some people can't/don't want to read it that way. So if that's the case, you can skip to chapter 13, which is a text-only version of the story, including rough descriptions of the most important illustrations.
