Izuku was good at hiding things, a little too good. His classmates trusted him blindly, expecting him to come to them for help. But... Izuku liked his secrets. He loved the glint of his razor in the moonlight, the clink of a bottle against his teeth, and the dull pain as smoke entered his lungs. All of them were his, his to keep. The stress of everyday heroics and a secret too heavy to carry could easily be managed by a sharp sting, dull buzz, or lungs full of nicotine. But sometimes he slips up, and what if his classmates start to notice? What if a certain protective homeroom teacher realizes just how much of a problem his problem child really is? And can Izuku accept their help?

There's this girl in his class. She's quiet, something about her pisses him off more than anything. But that's why he likes her. He doesn't tell anyone, and starts bullying her in middle school to get close to her. He eventually stops when he learns a dark secret she holds. Reader Bakugou go through a series of hurdles with one another as they attend high school. Midoriya acts as Reader's best friend.

Summary
Izuku felt that he was working with unusable cards, that he had been dealt the wrong hand right at the beginning, and a meeting with his Idol crushed his remaining hope of salvation. Every dream he'd held onto, every desperate wish that things might change, shattered into dust with a few simple words. Izuku loses his will to keep going, just wanting it all to end; so, in the words of his once-friend, he takes a swan dive…
Well, they tried, at least.
The Reaper doesn't like them, apparently, just sent them all back… rude. One of them thought Izanami would've been nicer, another just wants to sleep. A third is already plotting something ridiculous. Maybe they can fight death? And The Narrator is just fed up with their antics, questioning why he even bothers trying to keep order anymore.
Though, maybe peace can be found within this chaos.
tldr: Izuku takes Bakugou's advice, only to somehow wake up alive. Maybe not mentally sound, as his now-numerous headmates may tell you, but alive nonetheless. Vigilantism becomes much easier when you're supposedly dead but unable to actually stay that way. Being a traumatized system of complicated individuals is somehow harder to manage.
