So, naturally, Klaus and Diego join him."Holy shit, Five," Diego says, rushing forward. "What the hell happened to you?"
Five is off-balanced by the sight of Diego. Shouldn’t he be at the other address? What is he doing here?
Klaus appears on the other side of Diego and lets out a laugh that sounds almost frantic. "Oh, thank God you can see him, too.”

Starting where S2 ends, the siblings are stuck in the alternate version of 2019 where the Umbrella Academy doesn’t exist.
Five is mostly trying to avoid dealing with the trauma of watching his siblings die (again) while doing his best to figure out how to get his family home.
The others, well…at least they’re trying this time.

"When Klaus enters the kitchen, the clock above the fireplace reads four in the morning and all the lights are out and he’s still not sure if that’s helping shake off the last echoes of his nightmare or not.
Which makes it very understandable that he would jump when faced with Five idly sitting at the table on his ruffled pajamas. “Jesus Christ,” he shrieks, a hand clutching his chest, and leans heavily against the sink."

Klaus is found passed out by a confused Patch and Beaman. When Diego comes to get him, refusing to divulge who the unconcious man was, things get weird.
At least the first time.
The second time, it was a different person.
And then the third.
Then the fourth.Until finally, explanations are demanded.

"Wait. I need to know his name and relation," Beaman said.
Diego stopped, hesitating.

|#7|"It's Vanya," she said, distractedly. "I'm sorry. Do you have a phone I could borrow?"
Whoever she called picked up quickly, and she mumbled a few quiet words."What is your relation?"
"He's my brother."

"I've come to collect my brother Klaus."
"Sorry, who are you?"A gigantic hand was held out.
"The name's Luther."
