Summary
After the events of 'YHWH', Finch and Root are working around the clock just trying to keep the Machine in a stable condition. However, the Machine continues to stay true to its priorities: the people it watches over. In its damaged and incomplete state, it manages to pass on the last few persons of interest it was researching before it was shut down. On the list of potential numbers is Elias' accountant and friend, Bruce Moran.
Can be considered a sequel to the stories 'invictus maneo' and 'the devil you knew,' but works just as well as a stand-alone story.

Not much goes on in a small town like this, the most interesting news being a stranger moving in and never leaving his house. No matter, Newt likes the town just fine even though most of the townsfolk don't feel the same way about him. However, it could be rather boring. Hopefully taking the job delivering groceries to the house on the edge of town will make things more interesting, though the resident living there isn't exactly responding well to his attempts at conversation...
(Basically my attempt at writing something like the possible plot of a Disney film, where Hermann is the stranger who never leaves his house and Newt is the town local who ends up making deliveries to him.)
