Summary
Michael wakes up, sweating and disoriented. The warehouse off Dutch London and Banning? It’s familiar, he’s been there before, just the once. Didn’t want to know any more about what Trevor did to Mr. K than he had to. Before that? Therapy. The strangest fucking therapy session of his life. The sea boiling and the dead walking, real end of days type bullshit.
Now, he’s in that same dingy warehouse, hands and feet duct taped to a chair. He’s hallucinating, has to be – just his guilty conscience or whatever, getting the better of him. There’s no other explanation for the talking snake or the balcony fall or the fact he’s still breathing after it.
Something sparks, lights up the gloom, and illuminates Trevor’s face staring back at him. Trevor, who knows something Michael never wanted him to find out. Trevor, who has a score to settle. But, as it turns out, Trevor never really wanted revenge. Not in the bloody, violent way Michael always imagined, anyway.
As Michael’s mind plays dirty trick after dirty trick on him, he subconsciously uncovers deeper meaning in the years he and Trevor spent drifting from job to job.
