"You cleaned the kitchen and the bathrooms?" Lawrence raised a quick brow.
"I did more than that," Adam responded with his classic shit-eating grin, approaching Lawrence with a hint of allurement in his walk. "Did some yardwork shit outside... cleaned out the litterboxes... and I even put the laundry away."
"Really now?" Lawrence set his hands on Adam's narrow hips once he was in close proximity.
Adam kept his eyes locked on Lawrence's, rounding them to seem more cute and doe-like. "And y'know what else?"
"Hm?"
"Dinner's in the oven." Adam's voice dropped an octave right next to the other man's ear, the same inflection he'd use if he was asking Lawrence to rearrange his guts.

"Oh, stop it." Lawrence wrapped his hands around the edge of the firm mattress, not knowing where else to put them.
"Wish I could get it to your thick skull that you're still..." Adam returned to the floor on his knees, pressing kisses to the shell of his knee, "So, so beautiful. You've always been. No matter what."
"Adam..." Lawrence reached out, caressing thick strands of brown hair. "Oh, Adam, you're too much."

Adam tilted his head back as endorphins swirled in his brain, that familiar burn of skin separating by the sharp razor blade felt like coming home. He held onto the box cutter with a white-knuckle grip, the familiar mold of the metal handle coated in sweat. Adam barely had a sensical reason to relapse. His only justification of cutting was his own form of self-flagellation, he saw himself a sinner mortifying his flesh to feel redeemed.

Lawrence read the words carved on his headstone over and over, his mind still in denial that Adam is dead. But this is his grave. It's set in stone. Adam's grave was bare except for the red carnations he placed weeks earlier. Its obvious nobody else had visited Adam since then. Only Lawrence.

Adam grabbed his snout and threw his pig mask to the floor, the sweat on his crown cooling in the night air. Lawrence was about to do the same.

Lawrence went silent, the silicone face of a swine staring back at Adam.
